Brownies that you can eat with no guilt, no sugar and no oil! (And yes they still taste like brownies.)
You guys. My favorite dessert of all time is brownies. When I was diagnosed with celiacs, all I wanted was a big pan of deliciously warm gooey brownies. Thank god (literally and figuratively) that “gluten-free” became a thing. I know a lot of people think it’s a fad diet and middle finger to them 🖕🏻 That’s all I’ll say about that ha! I’m really glad things like brownies with no flour were invented.
This is now my third post, along with healthy oat pancakes and my protein packed blueberry oatmeal bowl, that I had used greek yogurt as one of the main ingredients. I’m telling you guys, it’s amazing stuff!
For the brownies, it’s a substitute for any oil or butter. Hallelujah to that! 🙌🏼 It keeps the brownies super moist and you can’t taste it. It’s one magical ingredient.
This recipe has been my go-to because I like having a sweet treat on the weekends, and I know these don’t have any refined sugar, flour or oil, plus they are quite tasty! You can ask Nick who replaces an actual breakfast with a half pan of these bad boys. One day I will eat a half pan of brownies for breakfast. One day.🤔
Here are my tips for making this recipe:
- I use almond butter because its not has thick as regular peanut butter. (You could also try any other nut butter!)
- Mash the banana really good, unless you like your brownies chunky.
- You know the drill. Use 100% Pure Maple Syrup.
- You can use any Dark Chocolate Chips (minis or regular). I like Enjoy Life 69% cacao.
- The brownies will stay moist for a couple of days, just keep covered and preferably in a air-tight container.
