Hi there 👋🏼 We’re getting into that time of year where warm, cozy foods hits the spot! And I’m sure this Healthy Homemade Granola will do just that.
I’m a granola phene 😬 I love it on yogurt and smoothies, but you bet I eat it plain too! It’s my kryptonite.
My favorite store bought is a tie between LiveGFree’s Gluten Free Cranberry Cashew and Honey and Purely Elizabeth’s Original.
But I will go out on a limb and say this makes the top of the list.
It’s filled with fall-inspired ingredients like maple syrup, cinnamon and pumpkin seeds. And the best part is, it’s low in sugar!
So let’s get to it.
Homemade Granola Ingredients
- Gluten free oatmeal (rolled oats)
- Cinnamon
- Coconut oil
- Shredded coconut
- Pure maple syrup
- Vanilla
- Cashews
- Dried cranberries
- Pepitas or sunflower seeds
- Chia seeds
Don’t like dried cranberries or pumpkin seeds? The good news is, you can customize it as much or as little as you want.
Start with the base – gluten free oats, cinnamon, coconut oil, shredded coconut, pure maple syrup and vanilla – and add whatever mix-ins your heart desires.

How Long Does Homemade Granola Last
Granola can last a long time (up to 6 months or longer), if stored in an airtight container.
I suggest making a double batch because you can keep it in your pantry and trust me when I say you’re going to want it! 😏
And speaking of double batches, this healthy, homemade granola makes for a perfect gift at the holidays! Fill up a mason jars and tie a pretty bow around the top and viola you have yourself the perfect gift to give your friends, coworkers or neighbors!
How to Make Homemade Granola
Well it’s as easy as 4 simple steps.
- Combine all the ingredients into a large bowl.
- Spread evenly onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees, flipping halfway.
- Let granola cool for about 30 minutes and enjoy!

- • 2 cup gluten free rolled oats
- • ¼ teaspoon salt
- • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- • ¼ cup coconut oil, melted
- • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
- • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- • ¼ cup shredded coconut
- • ¼ cup cashews
- • ½ cup pepitas/sunflower seeds
- • ⅓ cup dried cranberries
- • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine all the ingredients into a large bowl, stirring until oats are wet.
- Spread evenly onto the baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through. (Watch granola so it doesn't get burnt, it will continue to cook after pulling out of oven)
- Let granola cool for about 30 minutes and enjoy!
