Hello there 🙂 we are in full wedding planning mode over here. We’re exactly 4 months out! Like holy cow, where has the time gone?!
Dresses fitted √
Suits picked out √
Bachelorette party planned √
Rings bought √
I’d say we are getting close. Now it’s time to be a little bit more careful on what goes in my pie hole and focus on maintaining healthy habits and lots of water!!
We’re trying to enjoy the process, but we can’t frickin’ wait!!!! ❤️
Speaking of good eats, this chicken wing recipe has been on repeat for the past couple of months. I know what you’re thinking, how are chicken wings healthy? Guess what! Everything in proportion can be healthy! Especially chicken.
Wings tend to be a little bit more fatty, but the flavor is on point!! 💯 The best part about this recipe is it’s versatility. You can choose between three different sauces and you can also use different meat – legs, thighs, breasts – you name it, it’ll work!
Trust me when I say these puppies are a crowd pleaser!
Here’s what you’ll need:
BBQ Honey
BBQ sauce
Honey
Ghee
Dry Rub
Ghee
Chili Powder
Oregano
Rosemary
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Salt
Pepper
Paprika
Asian zing
Garlic powder
Ground ginger
Soy sauce
Sweet chili sauce
Brown sugar
Red pepper flakes
I like to make all three sauces because I like options! Plus they’re super easy to make.
All you have to do is combine the ingredients into small bowls. Then place the chicken wings on a baking sheet or pan and using a basting brush, slather the sauce(s) of your choice on the wings! (I usually use my hands to pat on the dry rub.)
If you’re smart (or read this full post beforehand) you’ll save a little extra sauce at the beginning to run on the wings after they come out of the oven or off the grill. I also really like to use spicy mayo for the dry rub (¼ cup olive oil mayo with 1 tablespoon sriracha – it’s the bomb.com!!)
In total the recipe takes about a full hour. 15 minutes to prep and 30 – 40 to bake. If you’re trying to save time, prep the sauces the night before and let them soak during the day. That way when you get home from work and everyone’s hungry you can pop the wings in the oven and you’re good to go!
Grab those napkins because there’s no denying these Sweet and Savory Chicken Wings will have you going back for seconds!
